The Benefits of Studying Writing for My Life and My Society

            Studying writing is really important. There are so many things that we can not say directly, but we can tell it trough written form. In order to make others understand what we do really mean in our written information, we have to write it correctly based on any rules that it deals with. Keep studying is the basic key to be better in writing.

            There are so many benefits of studying writing for my life. One of the benefits is producing a better skill in writing. In the past, I used to write in monoton way. I did not have a good enough style in writing. In another hand, every practice that I have done guides me to write more creative sentences.

            Writing is not only important for me, but also for my society. As a human, we can not live alone. We communicate with others every day. One of ways to communicate is through written form. For example, sometimes we have an information that impossible for us to tell it directly. If we have a better skill in writing, it will be easy for us to distribute the information in writen form. In brief, we do not need extra effort to inform about something.

My Resolutions to Study Essay Writing Succesfully

            There are three things that I am going to do in order to study Essay Writing succsessfully. The first one is reading as many as possible essays and keep practicing. Reading helps you to improve your skill to make an effective sentence. Various essays that you have read gives you various ways to write a similar meaning sentence in various styles. In addition, keep writing supports you to be better in making good essays. You are going to study Essay Writing succsesfully when you wrote an essay, and you realized some mistakes that you have done, because you will never do the same mistake again for the second time.

            Revising your own essay is the second one. You are the best teacher for your self. It will always remain you not to do the same mistake. You should never give up before you totally sure that you have made the best essay of you. This processs  really helps to improve you skill in writing essay.

            The last one is asking others correction. In some cases, we never realize about a number of mistakes that we have done. To make sure it does not happen, you should ask someone to correct your esssay. Sometimes, others are more careful in correcting yours from the simplest thing.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Electronic Games

            In this modren and full of new invention era, everyone might like playing electronic games. Electronic games are any kinds of games that use electronic devices. Electronic games are created to entertain. They are designed as interesting as possible to give maximal satisfaction. In another word, electronic games are something that can be played with their own rules. There is no big deal about playing electonic games, but most of nowadays kids even adult people addicted to spend their time playing electronic games. Actually, electronic games give some advantages to the palyers, but they will bring a number of disadvantages when they are played upnormaly.

            The first disadvantage of playing electonic games is on health specially the physical health. There is no significant movement that we do when we are playing them. Sitting for hours can increase the risk of obesity, sleep disturbances, headaches, dry eyes, carpal tunnel syndrome, muscular diseases, as well as skeletal and postural disorders in kids. Other health effects include agitation, increased heart rate, and high blood pressure. Still another health effect is damaging visibility. When we are playing electronic games, we focus on the screen whose rays consist of strong radiation. In addition, playing electronic games also influences psychological health. This is caused by lack of socialize that the gamers do. When they spend most of the time to play electronic games, they do not have enough chance to socialize that determine their psycological health.

            Players of the electronic games have a big possibility become addicted to those games. The games provide a high level of quick gratification. We are almost constantly being rewarded, and when we lose, we can continue the games again since our best progress easly. As a result, for childen who spends a lot of time playing games will influence them to ignore their studies resulting poor academic performance, cutting school, and dropping out of school. On the other hand, numerous deaths have been reported from around the world because of playing video games for hours, days, weeks, or months obsessively. In 2005, a 28-years-old man from South Korea collapsed and died of cardiac arrest because of playing World of Warcraft and StarCraft games for 50 straight hours. In October 2007, a teenager from Ohio (USA) shot his parents for taking away his copy of the game Halo 3. A Korean couple, in 2009, spent hours playing video games, neglecting their 3-months old baby, who died from malnutrition and dehydration. A 16-years-old man from South Philadelphia (USA) killed his mother in the year 2010 for confiscating his PSP.

            Many video games these days include weapons and an objects that involve killing or having to injure someone. Of course, it would be terrible if a child killed someone in the real world. According to Violent Video Games (2010), “Playing violent video games can make some adolescents more hostile, particularly those who are less agreeable, less conscientious and easily angered.” There are good and bad games, and good and bad ways to use them (Chatfield, 2010). Blake (2006) found that “When kids play these games and see their favorite character commit some type of violent action, they want to repeat it.” Another negative affect that video games have on children is that they can put a bad image of women into their heads. Blake (2006) discovered that, “Women are not usually used in video games, and when they are, their purpose is usually sex appeal.” This causes children to think of women as just good looking objects to have sexual relations with. The worse one is video games hook children as playing and winning boosts their morale. The University of Calgary conducted an online survey on children aged 9-15 years who play mature and violent video games concludes that it has a direct relation with tendencies like bullying, becoming abusive, beating, or clobbering siblings or peers.

            Altough elctronic games effect three main disadvantages, it also gives a number of advantages.  The first one is to practice more and more in order to be the best. A study conducted by the University of Rochester states that, "Gamers perform better in tests that involve focus, speed, multi-tasking, vision, and accuracy than others or non-gamers." So, playing video games can teach your children to concentrate, plan, different strategies to reach their goal, perform multi tasks at the same time and learn how to handle
complex situations.

            Playing electronis games may play a significant role in fulfilling several psychological needs of humans. It may enhance a child's motor coordination and ability to think quickly and analyze a situation. Video games require that the player can use a controller while looking at a television screen. According to Impact of Video Games on Children (n.d), “This causes the player to train their manual dexterity and can make it better.” Video games have been proven to be much better for you than watching television. Manali Oak (n.d) found that, “This is because video games are interactive; the player has to think a little bit and analyze the situation they are in.” Playing video games involves problem solving, planning, estimation and analysis of the moves or actions of both you and your opponent.

According to Manali Oak (n.d), “This affects the player positively by developing in him/her problem-solving skills, analytical and estimation skills and quick decision-making”. Video games can help learn lifelong skills. One of these is resource management. Children might have to manage their time or things. Manali Oak (n.d) discovered that when you play video games, “You learn to recognize types of situations and react to them quickly.” Some children have social disorders where they lack self-confidence. Playing video games can actually be used in therapy for social disorders such as these. A child gets a sense of participation, a sense of achievement. Children, after playing video games begin to feel excited about their lives, they start feeling positive and enthusiastic. Manali Oak (n.d) found that, “This enables them to defeat their psychological disorders to a certain extent.”

In conclusion, electronic games are fun and entertaining. We may decrease and increase both of advantages and disadvantages of playing them. It dapends on our wiseness. We absolutely may maximize the advantages of playing it by palying educated electronic games when we does not have any important jobs to do.

Experience During Studying Paragraph Writing

My Experience During Studying Paragraph Writing

            I studied Paragraph Writing with Mr. Saunir and Mrs. Witri. These two lectures were different in teaching. Mr. Saunir prefered to ask his students to learn a topic by themselves. This way makes me find almost all I need to know by myself. Based on my experience, I would understand about a topic better when I learned it first by myself. On the other hand, Mrs Witri implemented another way. She spent a meeting to explain about a kind of text that we were going to write. In addition, she was always ready to clarify my wrong perceptions. I had longer time to ask her any questions. In brief, the different ways of the lectures were really helpful. I could understand about a topic well.

            Writing is not as easy as it sounds. I  Faced so many difficulities during my Paragraph Writing class. It started from the basic step : find a topic. I am a kind of person who wants something different. That is why I hard to find a topic to write. As a sample, when we talk about descriptive text, most people tend to write about their homes or famous tourism spots. As a result, I have to think deeply to find a different one. To make a good paragraph I need something unique that I am interested in. The second one is creating the sentences sounds naturally. English is a foreign language. To be able producing natural foreign language needs a long period. In addition, the problem does not stop in our ability in producing natural sentences, but it also has to be accepted as an academic sentence in  appropriate rules.

            I do not care about the mark that I have got in a course as long as I did not fail and got an acceptable GPA wherever I looking for a job. I belive that a mark does not warrant someone’s skill althought I hope for a perfect mark. No matter what I have got and what I will get, the most important one is I have to do the best of me.

Synopsis

            Spontanious introduction between Jennifer Kornfeldt ( Ktherine Heighl) and Spencer Aimes ( Asthon Kutcher) at Nice beach in France, heals Jen’s pain about her ex-boyfriend who breaks her unpredictable. The introduction seems to be serious when jen introduced Spencer to her parents. They relationship finally culminate into a marriage. Three years after their first introduction, Jen finds out a secret that she never predicted before about Spencer.

            Spencer is an ex-secret agent who has licence to kill others if it were needed. when he   decided to marry jen, he quits of that work, but his past does not let he move on easly. Now, he has to safe his life and his wife from another secret agents who is targeting his life for a sum of money that is offered.

Plot of The Story

1.      Introduction

            Spencer Aimes, a common man who has a job as a goverment assasin, meets Jennifer Kornfeldt, a girl who has broken up with her boyfriend, in Jennifer’s vacation with her parents.

2.      Climax

            Spencer gets a misterious letter from his ex- bos. By the letter, he knows that he is being a target of a murderer, so he can not hide his past from Jen anymore. In his project to figure out what his ex-bos means by the letter, he also has to safe his life and his wife from other people that might to kill them.

3.      Ending

            Spencer and Jen know that Jen’s father is a person behind all of the mess they have got. Jen’s father got a miss understanding about Spencer. Because of Jen’s father was one of  Spencer target in the past,  he thinks that Spencer is going to kill him when he saw a misterious letter in Spencer office.

Comment

            Killers is an interesting movie. It can prove an action movie does not should always described in scary. In another hand, it can not show the romantic part succsesfully. Love story and marriage of Spencer and Jen does not described clearly.

Moral Value

1.      You can not change your past, but you can be better in the future.

Spencer decides quit being an assasin after he falls in love with Jen and plans for a more serious relationship.

2.      Marriage is not only an united of a couple, but also united of two families

Spencer always tries to have a good relationship with Jen’s parents, and respects them like his real parents.

3.      Always keep close with your parents.

Altought she is a married woman, Jen always keep close with her parents. She sharing much her problem with her parents.
